Perfect for babies/toddlers/adults 7mo + (for little babies make sure to mash/cut up depending on how they are tolerating food)
You will need:
- Food processor
- 2 packages of black beans (I like the packets of black beans from Thrive because they are pre-cooked and not canned in a BPA lined can) — Use my link here to get 25% off your first Thrive order. *Random side note: thrive is a discounted online store that sells packaged things your might find in a health store. Just discovered it and I am LOVING it! They also sells puffs and baby mum mums so that’s a huge win!
- One onion– I prefer Videlia because it is sweet
- 1 cup of panko bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- garlic clove
- olive oil
- Large non-stick skillet
Directions:
- Loosely chop onion and put in food processor

- Gently pulse
- Drain and rinse black beans.
- Add all of the remainder of the ingredients to the food processor

- Pulse until the mixture reaches your desired consistency

- In a pan heat olive oil on medium/high heat for about 3 min.
- Form patties with the mixture and place in pan to cook. About 3-6 minutes per side or until golden brown on each side.

I love black bean burgers, but daughter has an egg allergy. Is there something else I can use to bind them? Thanks!
Rachel
Try 1/4 cup of ripe avocado for every egg! And let me know how it turns out 🙂
